About
THOMAS R. DUNN will be joining the Department of Communication Studies at Colorado State University in the Fall of 2012 as an Assistant Professor/Director of the Basic Course. He earned his Ph.D. from the Department of Communication at the University of Pittsburgh. His research examines the intersection of queer culture, politics, and rhetoric with a focus on public memory, visual rhetoric, and the rhetoric of the built environment. Tom also completed a Ph.D. Certificate in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. He was a 2010-2011 winner of the Andrew Mellon Predoctoral Fellowship and the 2011 winner of the National Communication Association's Stephen E. Lucas Debut Publication Award. Tom's research appears in "Rhetoric & Public Affairs" and the "Quarterly Journal of Speech."
