About
As a doctoral student at Colorado State University (CSU), I am studying student engagement in the natural resources to understand what kinds of activities best support student success and persistence. My work is aimed at improving natural resource and environmental education, encouraging degree completion, and supporting tomorrow’s leaders in global sustainability and natural resource management.
In the local community, I work to foster undergraduate and high school student research, serving as a mentor and judge in various research programs along Colorado’s Northern Front Range. I have worked with the Fort Collins Boys & Girls Club Public Achievement program and was a founding member of the 2008 Greeley Youth Gang Prevention/Intervention Initiative. On weekends in spring and fall, you will also find me in the field assisting with prairie and massasauga rattlesnake research.
